5 Programs to Speed Up Your Windows PC

Is your computer becoming more and more sluggish every day? Do you have problems like blank screens, slow downloads and super-long load times? If you do, here are five easy to use programs that will help your computer speed up.

  1. CCleaner – Formerly called Crap Cleaner, this program deletes junk files that slow down your computer. It also finds registry disputes and solves them for you. It is free and easy to download and works wonderfully. It can even wipe your free space if you want it to, though that tends to take some time. Just visit http://www.piriform.com/CCLEANER for your free download today!
  2. Defraggler – Your computer could be working slower because your files are fragmented. Clean it up and make your system more efficient with another free download from Piriform. Compact and quick, Defraggler works great, plus you have the option of just defragging the files you use most often. What could be easier? Visit http://www.piriform.com/defraggler for a free copy.
  3. Firefox or Chrome – Rather than using Internet Explorer as your web browser, try Mozilla’s Firefox or Google’s Chrome. Much quicker load times, superior add-ons and a more secure framework make these browsers a necessity. Plus, they’re free. Be mindful that some websites do not work as well in them, so keep IE installed for backup, just in case. Download Firefox here: http://www.mozilla.org. Download Chrome here: http://www.google.com/chrome.
  4. Recuva – Have the problems with your computer developed to the point that you’ve lost files? Did you inadvertently erase your digital camera’s memory card or MP3 player? No problem! Just use Recuva to recover your files. Get it free at http://www.piriform.com/recuva.
  5. Revo Uninstaller – If you’ve ever had to add or remove programs on your computer, you know how time-consuming the process can be. Not only is it time-consuming, but a lot of the files from the uninstalled programs are never deleted. For a quicker, stress-free fix try Revo. This program is easy to use and much quicker. It also explores your computer for hidden files and deletes them- truly uninstalling the program.  Try it free for 30 days here http://www.revouninstaller.com.

There you have it; five simple programs to get your computer purring! So whether you have a laptop, a desktop, or a mobile phone, keep these programs handy and keep your computer running fast.

The most programms are very good and i also use alot of them but i think firefox is not good because it takes a lot of hardware recources and slowdown the PC. Recuva is very good to restore deleted datas, i use it sometimes if i delet importet. CCleaner is good to clen Flashdrives (USB, SD-Card).

  25. I think sometimes these third party programs can do more damge than good. I have used cc cleaner in the past, but don’t use it now. A prgram that I do think is very good though at cleaning out ‘debris’ that windows fails to remove is Ace Utilities and I use that occassionally. That said I am still using XP Pro as my operating system as I still think it is far better than Vista (don’t touch with a bargepole) and Windows 7.

I do agree though that Google Chrome is the fastest browser out there (even though I use Firefox as prefer it to Chrome), but another little known browser but that I have recently stumbled upon is Maxthon, which is very good alternative to firefox and I use that as my secondary browser now.

By the way, congratulations on your Alexa ranking. I launched my blog in late August 2011 and at time of writing it is now ranked in the top 650k sites in the world a jump of over 27m places in just over 5 months. I am now getting over a 1000 hits a week.

  28. I think I need to try ALL of these. I love the name “Crap Cleaner” though. Awesome! Lol. And do you think Firefox and Chrome are about the same? I used to have Firefox but then my computer tech friend put Chrome on my computer because he said it was better – and I trust him since I’m a bit computer stupid sometimes.

  35. First of all, I seriously hope that none of the other readers are actually still using IE. IF you are, tha’ts definitely the first thing to change. I think Revo sounds like a really useful piece of software, I always wonder if the uninstallers are actually removing all remnants of the program. Thanks for all the tips!

  36. I’ve used both DeFraggler and Recuva, and I have Firefox as my work browser but Chrome as my at-home browser, all great programs. I am going to try Revo Uninstaller next. Thanks for the tips.

  37. I don’t have any problem with my PC. Because I use Firefox for download any thing. I highly recommend Revo uninstaller it works more uniquely than others. I found it easiest and fastest uninstaller program. I think Microsoft uninstaller is useless in front of Revo uninstaller. Thanks for its free trail version.
