From DigitalJournal.com: “Microsoft has issued a security advisory warning to users of Windows 2000 and XP operating systems advising them not press the ‘F1′ key if prompted by a dialog box. A March 9 fix is upcoming but users are advised to remain vigilant.
Microsft is warning about a malicious attack that can take control of one’s computer.
Pressing the ‘F1′ key on the top row of your keyboard will exploit a vulnerable hole that has been discovered by Microsoft. The threat affects millions of Windows users worldwide.”
The Microsoft Security Advisory states: “..the vulnerability cannot be exploited on Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Vista, or Windows Server 2008.”
